UConn Health Surplus Property
The Office of Logistics Management's Surplus Property Unit provides for the removal and reuse of UConn Health equipment.
Our goal is to recycle surplus property to reduce the institution's waste stream, provide departments a low cost
alternative to purchasing new equipment, and maximize the recovery of capital investment in our equipment. We do this
by providing UConn Health departments the opportunity to acquire surplus
serviceable equipment. Items not transferred to a UConn Health department then go through our online only Surplus
Store
PublicSurplus.com
where the general public have the opportunity to acquire the materials.
This ensures a larger public audience and getting more competitive
prices for our equipment.

UConn Health Departments:
Property reutilization helps UConn Health departments control costs by allowing them to obtain items that other departments
no longer need at a fraction of the cost to obtain new equipment. During difficult budget times, units may not always have the
available funds to purchase necessary equipment and furnishings. UConn Health saves thousands of dollars each year by reusing
its laboratory, medical and office equipment.
